Ladders are designed to provide access to work areas at different heights and allow workers to travel more easily from the ground to other levels a review of safe work practices will be conducted. Ladders do however contribute to 41% of construction fall accidents many of which are less than one meter from the work surface.

  • Interpretation of relevant regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Review of Ladder Safety Meeting Package Material
  • Ladder set-up
  • Transportation and storage of ladders
  • Ladder inspection and maintenance
  • Review of injuries resulting from work on ladders
  • Work area protection
Knowledge evaluation: A written evaluation of understanding and knowledge will be given to participants, successful participants will be given a record of training card and a record of the training shall be provided to the employer.
